From Humble Beginnings to the American Dream
Raised among fig trees and farmland in a small Albanian village, Royilda Medina learned early on the values of perseverance and gratitude. Her childhood was filled with beauty, but her eyes were always fixed on a future of greater opportunity.
“I grew up watching American TV shows and dreaming about a place where women could choose their own future,” she recalls. That dream became her mission.
Through determination and faith, Royilda set out to study in the United States. After years of saving and struggling, a life-changing act of kindness opened the door, a family she had once shown kindness to in Albania offered to sponsor her education in Idaho. She calls it divine timing, and it set the stage for everything that would follow.
The Partnership That Started It All
While studying in Rexburg, Idaho, Royilda met her future husband and creative partner, Marlon A. Medina. Together, they shared a vision: to build something greater than themselves, an agency that would empower others through creativity and storytelling.
That vision became Golden Medina Services (GMS), a full-service marketing and media company rooted in purpose, creativity, and integrity. With Marlon leading strategy and production, and Royilda refining branding and client experience, they began serving small businesses, entrepreneurs, and organizations ready to grow.
As the company expanded, it became clear that Royilda’s artistic direction and passion for helping women-led brands deserved its own space, and thus, Royilda & Co. was born as the sister agency under the GMS Partners umbrella.

Like any entrepreneurial journey, the early days were far from easy. From working late nights in a studio apartment to navigating a fast-changing digital landscape, the couple learned to adapt quickly.
“I didn’t love marketing at first,” Royilda admits. “But once I saw how it could truly transform businesses, I fell in love with it.” That mindset helped shape both agencies into what they are today: creative powerhouses built on innovation, collaboration, and trust.
When short-form storytelling became the new frontier, the team mastered the art of virality, reaching millions organically across platforms. This adaptability, paired with their relational approach to business, remains one of the strongest pillars of both brands.
